Rhian Ramos Can File Charges Against Dj Mo Based On Existing Law'- Cong. Irwin Tieng

BUHAY PARTY list Rep. Irwin Tieng signed the impeachment of SC Chief Renato Corona but he doesn’t want to talk about it anymore as it’s Christmas time. How about what happened to Rhian Ramos because of DJ Mo? “We have existing laws about that,” he says. “Rhian can file for oral defamation or violence against women. I’m sure her lawyers will know what to do.”

He’s more interesting in helping the Metro filmfest entries to attract more viewers. “I want to watch all the entries, given the chance, but uunahin ko yung movies ng friends ko like ‘Panday 2’ ni Sen. Bong Revilla, ‘Manila Kingpin’ ni Gov. ER Ejercito and ‘Segunda Mano’ of Dingdong Dantes who’s been a friend since our Ateneo days. We all need to help our own local film industry.”

Cong. Irwin is now on his second term. Will he run for the senate after his third term? “I don’t see myself doing that. Baka bumalik muna ko sa family business namin. My uncle, Wilsong Tieng of Solar Films and TV, want to produce local films again. Solar TV now will also have its own news channel starting January 1.”

Women who are victims of predatory men continue to seek his help after he helped approve the Cyberboso bill. “One was a college student who agreed to go to bed with her college professor to pass her course. But she didn’t know he videotaped the act and started blackmailing her. Napakulong naming yung mapagsamantalang professor niya at naalis pa siya sa trabaho.”

With regard to his campaign against piracy, he’s glad our country has been deleted from the lists of countries notorious for piracy. His goal now is to lower the amusement taxes for local films from 30% to 10% to further help the local film industry.
