Patrick admits that news is now presented as entertainment so they present stories with some drama and suspense in their police stories that they present right after the headlines. He’s also proud of their weather man, 4-time Palanca awardee Lourd de Veyra of the band Radio Active Sago who now anchors the Weather or Not segment teamed up with New Zealand’s state-of-the-art meteorology service Metra Weatherscape XT. This is presented with irreverent commentary on relevant social and political issues in “The Word of the Lourd”. Some organizations praised TV5 for delivering accurate weather reports with high tech graphics system especially during typhoons.
