IT WAS THE 7th death anniversary of the late Da King, Fernando Poe Jr., last Wednesday. The day before that, his two daughters, Grace Poe-Llamanzares and Lovi Poe, chanced upon each other at the Club Filipino presscon of the 37th Metro Manila Filmfest. Lovi was there to represent her entry, “Yesterday Today Tomorrow”, along with her leading man, Jericho Rosales. Grace was seated at the presidential table in her capacity as MTRCB Chair.
Lovi is happy to see her sister. “Nagbeso kami agad upon seeing each other,” she said. “Okay naman kami as we’ve seen each other before and I was excited to see her again. It’s really nice kasi peace naman kaming lahat. There’ll be a mass at our father’s resting place at North Cemetery in the morning but I can’t go kasi first taping day ko sa ‘Legacy’ ng GMA-7 with Heart Evangelista and Alessandra de Rossi. We play sisters na nag-aaway sa mana. But after my taping, dadalawin ko ang daddy namin who I really miss up to now.”
She’s flattered that the feedback on the trailer of “Yesterday Today Tomorrow” is very positive. “Lahat ng nakapanood, gusto na raw nila to see the entire movie. Gustong-gusto nila yung confrontation scenes namin ni Echo, lalo na nung sampalin ko siya. Totoo yun.”
