What Viewers Can Expect To Watch In 2012

SO WHAT new shows are in store for TV viewers to watch in 2012?

At ABS-CBN, they have a big soap coming up, “Walang Hanggan”, a combination “Wuthering Heights-Falcon Crest” starring Coco Martin and Julia Montes, supported by the likes of Susan Roces, Helen Gamboa, Richard Gomez, Dawn Zulueta, and more. Then they have a big soap about high society, "Alta", with Gretchen Barretto, Diether Ocampo, Angelica Panganiban and Luis Manzano. Teen star Kathryn Bernardo also has her own solo soap, "Always in My Heart", with Enrique Gil, Daniel Padilla and Pilipinas Got Talent runner up Khalil Ramos.

At GMA-7, they have prepared three big new primetime soaps: “Legacy”, “My Beloved” and “Biritera”. “Legacy” is about three sisters fighting for the inheritance left by their dad: Heart Evangelista, Lovi Poe and Alessandra de Rossi. Their leading men are Geoff Eigenmann, Sid Lucero, Mike Tan and Mark Bautista. Also making cameo roles in the show are Dennis Trillo, Bianca King, Carla Abellana, Chynna Ortaleza, and many more.

“My Beloved” is the reunion of the Marian Rivera-Dingdong Dantes love team after “Endless Love”, along with Alden Richards and Louise de Los Reyes. “Biritera” is a musical drama with Dennis Trillo, Glaiza de Castro, Cherie Gil, among others.

For their afternoon drama slot, they have "Prodigal Daughter" with Kylie Padilla and Rocco Nacino.

On TV5, the have several reality shows. Some are original, like “Kanta Pilipinas” (for amateur singers), “Temptation Island” (based on the hit movie) and “Dancing Nation” (for new dance groups). There are also franchises of hit U.S. reality shows that will be given their local version like “Extreme MakeOver Home Edition”, “The Amazing Race Philippines” and “The Biggest Game Show in the World”. This will be in addition to their existing reality show, “Talentadong Pinoy”.
