Which Movies Are The Topgrosser In The Current Metro Manila Filmfest

UNCONFIRMED reports as to which movie is the topgrosser in the current Metro-Manila FIlmfest vary. Some say GMA Films’ “Ang Panday 2” is number one while others say it’s ABS-CBN Star Cinema’s “Enteng ng Ina Mo”. There are those who say “Panday 2” is number one only in Mega Manila, but nationwide, it’s “Enteng”. We laughed when we heard this. It’s just like the network wars. GMA is said to be number one in the ratings game in Mega-Manila pero the surveys of AGB Nielsen, but ABS-CBN claims they’re number one nationwide per the surveys of Kantar Media.

Number 3 is said to be OctoArts films “My Househusband”, followed by “Segunda Mano”, “Shake Rattle & Roll 13”, “Yesterday Today Tomorrow” and Gov. ER Ejercito’s “Manila Kingpin” (whose prints are said not to have been finished by SQ Films so it was not shown in some of the 50 plus theatres allotted to them.) In the days to come, we’ll find out if the alleged box office leaders will be able to maintain their current standing at the tills.
