Dion Ignacio talks about Tyron Perez

DION IGNACIO and the late Tyron Perez were the tallest guys in their batch in Starstruck 1. “We became quite close then but through the years, bihira na kaming magkita so wala kaming communication,” he says on the set of “Amaya”. “Lahat kami sa batch namin were shocked sa nangyari sa kanya. Feeling ko nga, if he just opened up to us, we could all have helped him sa anumang problem niya. Sana nga, tinawagan niya na lang kami so we could have told him, wag ka magpakamatay. Ang bata pa niya. E, ang buhay natin, iisa lang yan.”

He’s thankful to be part of ‘Amaya’ as Kuling, with Sheena Halili as his love interest. “Ang ganda ng bonding naming lahat dito and I learned so much from Direk Mac Alejandre. Kasi noong una, hiyang-hiya ako kapag nakabahag ako so he told me, huwag akong mag-inarte. Dahil din dito, halos buong taon, may trabaho akong tuloy-tuloy.”

After seven years in showbiz, doesn’t he feel bad that he’s still playing supporting roles? “Siempre, lahat naman, nangangarap magbida, pero okay lang. Hindi naman ako pinababayaan ng GMA. After ‘Amaya’, kasama ako ngayon sa ‘The Good Daughter’ ni Kylie Padilla, so may followup project agad ako. I’m paired with LJ Reyes. They say pana-panahon lang yan, so hopefully, darating din yung time ko.”
