Director Marilou Diaz Abaya's Son Marc Abaya Prays For Mom'S Full Recovery

ONE OF MARC ABAYA’s fervent wishes for the new year is for his dearest mom, the respected director Marilou Diaz Abaya, to get well soon and have full recovery in her fight with the big C. Let’s all pray with Marc for Direk Marilou to get well soon. Her last film, “Ikaw ang Pag-ibig”, is for us one of the finest local films released last year. Marc is just happy that GMA-7 continues to support his acting career. He’s given the chance to do a comic villain role as Sam in “Daldalita” and it’s something new to him.

“I’m just grateful na mahuhusay siyang mga kasama ko and they all help me interpret my role more effectively, sina Manilyn Reynes, Ogie Alcasid and Joey Paras.,” he says. “They all thought me that having good teamwork and the right timing with your co-actors are very important to make comic scenes work.”

He also enjoys working with child wonder Jillian Ward as Daldalita. “With her, there’s never a dull moment on the set, lagi kaming masaya. This week, tatanggapin ni Manilyn as Katrina ang marriage proposal ko sa kanya kaya officially engaged na kami. Si Daldalita naman felt hurt after Ogie as Mateo scolded her kaya bumalik sa foster parents niya, Chuckie Dreyfus and Isabel Granada who’ll take her with them to the U.S.”
