HEART EVANGELISTA is happy to be back before the camera in GMA-7’s lavish drama about big business and the advertising world, “Legacy”. “Six months din akong nabakante after ‘Dwarfina’ so nasabik talaga akong umarte,” she says.
Her next assignment was supposed to be “My Beloved” with Dingdong Dantes, but she had a rift with Marian Rivera because of that, so it was then assigned to Rhian Ramos, who started taping it but then got embroiled in a controversy with ex-BF DJ Mo. So now, it’s Marian herself who plays Dingdong’s leading lady in the same project. What can she say about this? “Nothing. It’s really meant for them. And ako naman, I’m meant to be reunited with Geoff Eigenmann in ‘Legacy’. That’s the way things work in showbiz. I guess I’m not really destined to get to work with Dingdong.”
Is she ready to reconcile with Marian? “Oo naman. I’m basically a happy person. Ayokong may kaaway. Nagkita na kami in one event and I smiled but I guess she’s not yet ready and I respect that. I still believe na one day, maaayos din ang lahat, when God’s right time comes along.”
When she attended the Star Magic ball, tongues wagged, saying she wants to go back to ABS. “No, they invited me and since wala naman akong ginagawa, I went kasi friends ko pa rin naman si Mr. M and Ms. Mariole. I’m glad Lovi Poe and Sam Pinto were also there that time. We were all just invited.”
Do we hear wedding bells for her and beau Daniel Matsunaga now that she has visited his folks in Brazil? “No. We’re okay. This is the most mature relationship I’ve ever had as he’s not just my boyfriend but also my best friend. But we’re both not ready to start our own family. Everyone knows that in showbiz, pag nag-asawa ka, lagot ng career mo, so we don’t plan to get married soon. We’re both more focused on working and earning more. Aside from ‘Legacy’, I’m also doing a movie for Viva, ‘Pagpag’, a horror-thriller.”
