Marian Rivera and Angel Locsin Movie

How true is the story that Marian Rivera and Angel Locsin might set aside their rivalry under different networks and collaborate to make a movie? Angel was the fair haired lady of GMA before she transferred to become a Kapamilya. She has done several teleseryes under GMA like Mulawin, Darna, Majika, and Asian Treasures. Under ABS-CBN she was seen on primetime in Lobo, Only You, Imortal and now, in the sitcom with Robin Padilla and Vhong Navarro. She's now shooting the movie "Unofficialy Yours" with John Lloyd Cruz, directed by Cathy Molina, who megged all of John Lloyd hit movies with Sarah Geronimo.

Marian has taken over Angel’s role in GMA and is undoubtedly Kapuso’s brightest female star. She has done several projects such as Marimar, Darna, Babaeng Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang, Endless Love, Dyesebel, the sitcom with Manny Pacquiao and the hit epicserye Amaya. It is interesting to note that they have both played the roles of Darna. Also read, Marian Rivera and Angel Locsin up against each other on Valentine's Day.

While they belong to rival networks, they also serve different movie outfits. Marian is a contract star of Regal Entertainment while Angel is with Star Cinema. However, making a movie together is not a remote possibility. After all, Marian’s inamorato Dingdong Dantes, also from GMA, was allowed to make Segunda Mano with Kris Aquino who is under ABS-CBN.

According to the manager of Marian, Popoy Caritativo, this is Mother Lily’s brain child. And it will indeed be a great project in case it would push through. As of now, though, nothing is sure yet. Angel’s manager Ethel Ramos also thinks it's a great idea for the two actresses to work together but she said that they have not discussed this yet with Star Cinema President Malou Santos. If ever the project would materialize, we're sure Star Cinema won't settle for anything less than a co-production between them and Mother Lily. We'll keep you posted as soon as we learn about the latest developments on this interesting story.
