But he’s sad that the show is ending. “We’re all good friends in the show so it’s sad na magkakahiwalay kami, but we have to accept it. Maraming good things naman na nangyari sa show, like si Papa Chen as Kim’s dad, nakilala siya ng tao, he’s trending on Twitter and I’m proud of him in the same way that I’m proud of Xian na nagustuhan ng tao ang tandem nila ni Kim. It’s a blessing for him.”
Maybe people already know that he’s on with Maja Salvador so they favored Xian more for Kim. “Yes, I’m open sa relationship namin ni Maja, but maybe, the fact that they’re both Chinese worked well for them at mas naging maganda ang chemistry nila.”
He’s elated to play his first lead role in “My Cactus Heart”. “We all worked hard for this movie so sana, magustuhan ng moviegoers.” How was it working with his real life sweetheart in the movie? “It offers a different kind of challenge kasi you’re together pero may camera diyan. Nakaka-conscious. But working with her, I learned so much more about Maja. She really loves her craft so I learned to love it more, too. She’s such a good actress at contagious yung kahusayan niya.”
Have they talked about their wedding? “No, not at all. We’re so young. I’m only 21. I want to get married when I’m 28 or 29. As of now, we’re still getting to know each other better. Pero sana nga, she’s the one na.”
