Alden Richards Excited To Go Abroad For The First Time

ALDEN RICHARDS quickly applied for a passport when told he’ll be taken by Director William Laranas to the Hollywood premiere night of “The Road” on May 9. “Siempre po, excited ako kasi first time ko to travel abroad,” he says. “I feel so blessed dahil second movie ko lang itong ‘The Road’ after ‘Tween Academy’, pero heto’t first local film daw na magkakaroon ng release in commercial theatres sa U.S. and Canada. Maglalakad daw kami sa red carpet. Sana, may ma-meet akong Hollywood stars. Tapos, it’ll compete pa in international festivals in Belgium and Brazil, so sana makasama rin ako roon. But I would have to fix my schedule kasi halos araw-araw ang taping namin for ‘My Beloved’ where I play Dingdong Dantes’ brother.”

Alden looks leaner now because of the sexy pictorial he did for Folded and Hung. “Nag-diet ako and exercise para mawala yung baby fats kasi chubby po ako noong araw. Kailangan mas lean, tight and fit dahil nga shirtless ako doon sa EDSA billboard ko. Pinag-isipan ko muna yun before accepting it. Naisip ko, hindi na ko teenager, I turned 20, so puede na to do more mature things. I’m happy naman kasi so far, encouraging ang feedback sa billboard ko.”

Would he be willing to do ads in his briefs? “Open naman po ako pero dapat paghandaan ko munang mabuti. Even sa TV or movies, okay rin lang to do sexy roles basta maganda ang script. As an actor, you should be ready for anything basta sa ikagaganda ng career.”
