Arci Munoz Says Being 'Felina, Reyna Ng Mga Pusa' Is Torture But She Enjoys It

AFTER ‘NAGBABAGANG Bulaklak’, Arci Munoz feels great that TV5 has given her another title role as “Felina, Reyna ng mga Pusa”, now seen at 3:45 PM on TV5. “This is a more difficult role kasi, bilang babaeng isinumpa para magmukhang pusa, torture tuwing may taping kami kasi it takes about one hour bago matapos ang paglalagay sa akin ng cat makeup, complete with wig and contact lenses na matang-pusa,” she says. “I really have to report on the set early para hindi ma-delay ang taping. Pero enjoy ako, feeling ko, member ako ng cast noong musical na pinalabas dito, ‘yung ‘Cats’ at kakanta na ako ng ‘Memory’ ni Grizabella.”

She has two leading men in the story, played by the clean-cut and buff Ahron Villena and the balikbayan actor Leandro Munoz who’s body and arms filled with tattoos. “I’m blessed dahil pareho silang magaling at supportive,” she says. “The show has great appeal to viewers kaya tiyak kong magki-click ito sa kanila.”

She’s one of Annabelle Rama’s three young talents on TV5 who do lead roles. The other two are JC De Vera in “Valiente” and Danita Paner in “Isang Dakot na Luha” on whom Annabelle seem to shower more attention. Doesn’t she feel insecure? “Naku, very much satisfied ako kay Tita Annabelle dahil siya ang nagdala sa’kin dito sa TV5 where I was given the break to do lead roles. Kaya wag nyo na kami intrigahin. Pantay-pantay lang ang tingin niya sa’ming mga alaga niya.”

She claims to have been loveless for sometime now. Was that also ordered by her manager? “No. Walang sinasabi sa’kin si Tita Annabelle about my lovelife. It’s my own decision. Nadi-distract kasi ako kapag may lovelife. So buti pang wala na lang, lalo ngayong mahirap ang role ko in ‘Felina’, para matutukan ko nang husto.”
