Ex-Sen. Migz Zubiri Team Up With Chris Tiu And Rico Blanco For Pilipinas Ecowarriors

SO WHAT has ex-Sen. Juan Miguel ‘Migz’ Zubiri been doing after he voluntarily left the senate? “I got busy putting up Pilipinas EcoWarriors that aims to encourage people to care for and actively protect our environment that will lead to better livelihood and economic development,” he says. “Because of floods and landslides resulting from denuded mountains and forests, even businesses and investments are affected leading to less jobs for our people.”

He’s the lead convenor of the movement and with him are singer Rico Blanco, basketball and TV star Chris Tiu and veterinarian host of “Born to be Wild” Doc Nielsen Donato who attended the launch of EcoWarriors at Century Imperial as sponsored by Mother Lily.

“If you see someone doing illegal logging, dynamite fishing, selling illegal wildlife, smoke-belching vehicles, or anything that hurts the environment, you can videotape it on your fone, send it to our website www.ecowarriors.ph and we’ll act on it. You can also support EcoWarriors on Facebook as we want to this be an active online movement. We plan to do campus and community tours to attract people, especially the youth, to help us in this advocacy. On March 14, we’ll hold a free concert to launch this at the Quezon City Memorial Circle and we’d like to thank Mayor Herbert Bautista for his cooperation. Let this be our One Fight, One Hope for our One Planet.”
