GERALD ANDERSON admitted at his launch as new Mint endorser that he dated Sarah Geronimo on Valentine’s Day after she watched the show of Regine and Ogie at the Big Dome. “But it was a group date,” he said. “Marami kami, kasama ang mom niya, si Mommy Divine. Nag-KTV kami.”
And what’s his Valentine gift to her? “I gave her flowers. But let’s not dwell on that anymore. Tapos na yun.”
Sarah must be special to him since she’s the one he chose to go out with on the day of hearts. “Yes, sinabi ko na naman noon na she’s a special friend to me.”
Why did Mint choose him as their new endorser? “Siya talaga ang choice namin,” says Mint owner Stella Sy. “We waited for him for more than a year kasi he was still with another brand. He’s now under contract with us for 3 and a half years. Mint now has 40 outlets nationwide and Gerald’s posters will be in all of them soon.”
“What’s nice is they consult me about the styles na gusto ko, so may say ako rito,” says Gerald. “I’m excited as they also promise to help me in my charity works.”
Is Gerald replacing Xian Lim? “No, bale he’s an addition. They’re both Mint models but we prepared different designs and colors for each of them for our tees, coats, jackets, shorts and jeans,” says Stella Sy.
Won’t there be any rivalry between him and Xian who’s now the new partner of his former ka-love team, Kim Chiu? “Xian and I are good friends. I’m happy tinanggap ng tao ang tambalan nila ni Kim. We play together sa Star Magic basketball team so lagi kaming magkasama.”
The clothes that Gerald now wears in “Budoy” are all from Mint. The show is on its last three weeks and Gerald now sports a semi-kalbo hairdo after Budoy underwent an operation due to a brain tumor.
