Julian Trono Denies He's Snatching Julie Anne San Jose Away From Alma Magalona

AT 14, JULIAN Trono is the eldest host in the kiddie show “Tropang Potchi” shown Saturdays on GMA-7 at 9 AM. He says he’s ready to leave it when he turns 15 come September, but he’ll surely miss the show and his co-hosts who have all becomes his friends: Miggy Jimenez, Sabrina Man, Liane Valentino, Bianca Umali and Lenlen Frial.

“Si Ella Cruz po, dati naming co-host, nag-graduate na and is now part of Tween Stars,” he says. “Sa ngayon po, part na rin ako ng ‘Party Pilipinas’ and I dance there every Sunday. Dun po, teenager na ang projection ko, pero sa ‘Tropang Potchi’, bata pa rin. I teach hiphop dance classes din po to students 11 to 15 years old sa Broadway Centrum with the Manouevres.”

He’s also being linked to Julie Anne San Jose who’s paired with Elmo Magalona in “Party Pilipinas”. “Ay, hindi po totoo yun. Magkaibigan lang kami. May nagsulat nga, inaagaw ko raw siya kay Elmo, di po totoo yun. Maski sa ‘Tropa’, wala po kaming crush-crush. Magkakapatid lang kami rito at ako ang Kuya nila.”

Now a high school sophomore enrolled at the DepEd home study program, he brings his studies to his tapings. He’s now doing a movie about dancing to be shown in Finland. “Finnish po ang producer but the co-producer, Ricky Carranza, is a Filipino. They’re looking for a young Pinoy who dances well and I was referred to him. Pinanood niya ko sa ‘Party Pilipinas’. Ayun, nakuha ako. Ang title ng movie is ‘Dance Boy’. Sana, ma-release din dito sa bansa natin later.
