IT’S COMMON knowledge Kris Aquino was linked to Robin Padilla in their younger years. Robin even had a fight with Richard Gomez in Malacanang over her. That’s now water under the bridge so she’s ready to work with him again in her new soap, “Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw”, where they play husband and wife with three kids. But in the case of former live-in partner Joey Marquez who allegedly gave her STD when they were living together, she says she’s not ready to work with him even if Joey had declared his willingness to interview her. She adds she’s not ready to open up old wounds and she feels it would not do him or her any good. She doesn’t wish him anything bad. “Gusto ko na lang ng katahimikan,” she said.
A newshen says it’s a wise decision. “Pag nagharap sila, pagpipiyestahan lang sila sa media, lalo na ngayong officially annulled na ang marriage nila ni James Yap due to the lack of authority kuno noong kanilang solemnizing officer. Kung anu-ano na namang speculations ang masusulat about them, so huwag na lang.”
About her brother Pres. Noynoy’s being linked to Korean DJ-TV host Grace Lee, Kris says she and Grace have yet to meet but her sisters who have met Grace have nothing but nice words for her. Both Pres. Noynoy and Grace have confirmed that they are seeing each other. The international media have picked up the story and a Singapore newspaper even bannered that the Philippine president now has a Korean girlfriend. The two met in Cebu in June 2011 during the opening of an electrical plant where Grace was the program host. They met again when the Korean president was here on a visit in December and Grace shared her experiences as a Korean living in the country. Noy then got her number and greeted her Happy New Year. That’s when they started going out. She says she enjoys the president’s company but it’s too early to conclude where it’s going exactly. Grace is 29 and Noynoy is turning 52 on February 8. But at the rate Grace is giving interviews left and right, she looks like someone who’s publicity hungry and we won’t be surprised if Noynoy would prefer someone who’s more discreet.
