AFTER DOING ‘AMAYA’, Masculados Dos member Orlando Sol is glad to now be in another toprating GMA primetime show “Biritera”. “I play Egay, the keyboardist sa band led by Dennis Trillo and with Glaiza de Castro as our drummer,” he says. “May gusto si Glaiza kay Dennis at karibal niya si Gwen Zamora na magpapatulong pa sa kanya para mas mapalapit kay Dennis. This week, magkikita naman si Angelika de la Cruz, ang nag-alaga kay Roseanne Maga, the Biritera, at si Neil Ryan See na siyang tunay na ama ni Roseanne.”
He’s now recording a new album with the Masculados Dos, “Come to Come”, that will include Chinese Mandarin versions of some of their hit songs like “Jumbo Hotdog” and “Hawakan Mo Na”. “We learned may fans kami roon so we’re releasing some songs in their own language.”
He’s serious with his craft so he took the Stella Adler acting workshop offered at PETA. “It helps sa films na ginagawa ko. I just did ‘Mapusok’, a gay themed film, but I didn’t figure in any gay sex scenes. I play a guy who people thought it’s the secret lover of a gay professor kasi he gives me money, but it turns out half-brother ko pala siya. I also did ‘Uwang’ shot in Marinduque with Sue Prado. She plays my would be sister in law na naka-affair ko. I also just finished ‘Hindi Tao Hindi Hayop’ with Yul Servo and a new actress, Ruby Cayetano. We play cousins ni Ruby na nagkagustuhan.”
