Pretty Bianca Umali A Promising Tween Star

ONE OF THE promising hosts of “Tropang Potchi” is the very pretty Bianca Umali, born on March 2, 2000. She’s an only child but she has half siblings with both her parents. “I have two sisters sa mom ko and three brothers and one sister sa dad ko, all older than me,” she says. “My mom died of breast cancer when I was 5 while my dad died of heart attack two years ago. I now live with paternal grandmother.”

She was two years old when she started appearing in TV commercials. “My first commercial was for vitamins for infants. Since then, I’ve appeared in more than a dozen other commercials. I started appearing in supporting roles sa ‘Darna’ with Marian Rivera. My biggest role was as the young Angelika de la Cruz in ‘Kaya Kong Abutin ang Langit’. I now play the young Rhian Ramos in GMA Films’ ‘My Kontrabida Girl’.”

If and when she turns 13, we’re sure GMA will have a future big Tween star in her. Meantime, watch out for her special birthday presentation in ‘Tropang Potchi’ on March 3. We were there when she taped it with her co-hosts Sabrina Man, Julian Trono, Liane Valentino, Miggy Jimenez and Lenlen Frial, and it was really a happy occasion. “Tropang Potchi” airs today at 9 AM on GMA-7.
