ARCI MUNOZ and Danita Paner are both delighted to be chosen by TV5 to star in the soaps, “Felina, Reyna ng mga Pusa” and “Isang Dakot na Luha”, that will start back to back on Monday to beef up its afternoon programming. Their manager, hosted a special presscon for them to help promote their respective shows.
Arci as Felina plays a girl cursed at birth to look like a cat. Directed by Argel Joseph, her co-stars are Leandro Muñoz, Ahron Villena, Carla Humphries, Angel Jacob, Epi Quizon, Bearwin Meily, Mura, Pilita Corales, Bing Loyzaga and Jestoni Alarcon.
In “Isang Dakot na Luha”, Danita plays the eldest daughter of Alice Dixson and Jay Manalo, who get separated from each other by a cruel twist of fate and lose their three children. Directed by Eric Quizon, it’s a tearjerker that also stars Glydel Mercado, Lianne Valentin, Junyka Santarin, Jenny Miller, Elvis Gutierrez, Edgar Allan Guzman, Karel Marquez and Daria Ramirez. “Felina” is shown at 3:45pm and “Isang Dakot na Luha” at 4:15pm.
We hope TV5’s new programs will translate into higher ratings for them so they can attract more ads as they’re spending so much to boost their programming. The problem is that the advertising pie is not getting any bigger and companies are even cutting on their ad budgets.
