“Four months na kami and so far so good,” she says. “We met on the set of ‘Umagang Kay Ganda’ where we’re both regulars in the same segment. Doon na-develop ang lahat. Wala nang ligawan. Basta nagkakaintindihan na lang kami. Siguro October or November when we became really close, nagtatawagan, nagkukumustahan lagi. No more courtship kasi maayos na ang naging pagkakakilala namin sa isa’t isa since we’re together everyday. I look forward to seeing him every morning. We’re both easy to please kaya nagkakasundo kami. Ako kasi, mababaw talagang kaligayahan ko. You don’t have to give me expensive things. Sa flowers lang, masaya na ako. Pero mas masaya ako when we talk, make kuwentuhan.”
She has had two non-showbiz BFs before. “I’m more mature now and Andrei is six years older than me. He has told me about his past relationships, pati yung sa kanilya ni Jennylyn. Tanggap ko naman yun and we don’t hide anything from each other.”
Venus signed up with Regal and she’s all set to do her first movie, “Super Mao”, a comedy with Solenn Heussaff about supermodels, to be helmed by Marlon Rivera of “Babae sa Septic Tank” fame. She also stars in Jonas Gaffud’s (her manager) Mercator Agency’s own production of webisodes for their own web channel on line that starts airing on April 16.
“Mother Lily says later on, they’ll launch me solo. Ang pinag-iisipang titles are ‘Nardang Putik’ or ‘Raj Raj Raj Sis Bumbay’. Magiging comedian yata talaga ako,” she laughs.
