“I’m very lucky na ako ang napiling kumanta ng theme song ng ‘My Kontrabida Girl’ as I’m a fan of both Rhian Ramos and Aljur Abrenica na siyang mga bida rito,” says Derrick. “I’m sure to be there on premiere night to watch this feel good romantic-comedy. Sana, makagawa rin ako ng ganitong movie balang araw.”
Derrick and Julie Anne also star in the song’s music video, directed by Joey Abacan, which shows important scenes from the movie that opens in theatres on March 14. Joey believes Derrick has great potential to be a big star but he told Derrick to stop talking in swardspeak so some malicious writers won't insinuate that he's also gay. We told him Derrick is such a happy guy that's why he indulges some gay writers and talks to them that way but even these gay writers declare he is every inch male and they have no reason at all to suspect he's a member of the federacion.
