GRETCHEN BARRETTO admits she got depressed when “Alta” was scrapped due to script problems since she already bought a lot of expensive outfits for the show which is about “alta sociedad”. Now, she has bought a new set of costumes for her role as the queen of Bhutan in the new ABS-CBN soap that will be taped there on location. We’re told that on their flight going there, they had to pay for overweight baggage as Gretchen had no less than five pieces of luggage for herself.
The soap is titled “Princess and I” and topbilled by Kathryn Bernardo with Sam Concepcion, Enrique Gil and Khalil Ramos. We know for sure that Kathryn will be the princess. We just don’t know who the I will refer to. We’re sure it’s not going to be Gretchen, who, let’s face it, will just be major support here as the mother.
