Has Bea Binene Surpassed The Career Of Barbie Forteza

BEA BINENE doesn’t believe the allegations of some folks that she has now overtaken the career of Barbie Forteza who she used to merely support. She has a hit primetime show, “Alice Bungisngis and Her Wonder Walis”, and she’s also in the movie “My Kontrabida Girl” opposite Jake Vargas that will have a premiere tonight at SM The Block and opens nationwide on March 14. Barbie, in turn, has no soap now.

“Hindi naman po,” says Bea. “We’re still together in ‘Tween Hearts’ and Bea just did ‘The Road’ na ipalalabas pa abroad. So hindi ko siya nalalampasan at all. I’m sure bibigyan din siya ng bagong show and movie.”

How did she feel when told that her name in “My Kontrabida Girl” is Joyce Bernal? “Natawa po ako. Sabi ko, baka magalit si Direk Joyce Bernal na ginagamit namin ang name niya. Pero sabi nila, for fun lang naman daw. Basta I’m happy na sa first offering ng GMA Films for 2012, heto, kasama ako. We’ll be there ng buong cast sa premiere night at sasama rin kami ni Jake Vargas sa theatre tour on opening day on March 14, so our fans, dapat kaming abangan diyan.”

Bea was shocked when someone asked her if she’s ready to do kissing scene? “I’m only 14. I don’t think pagagawin ako ng GMA ng ganung eksena. Wholesome po kami kahit sa ‘Alice Bungisngis and Her Magic Walis’ na kami rin po ang magka-love team. Mas maganda ngayon ang show na lumalabas yung ulo ni Wally as the magic walis mula roon sa dulo ng walis para makipag-usap sa akin. Si Vangie Labalan as Miss Kasimsiman will continue sa aim niyang palabasin akong masama sa mata ng ibang tao at pagbibingtangan akong nagnanakaw, pero ipagtatanggol ako ni Wally. Magkakaroon naman ng love triangle sa’min nina Jake and Derrick Monasterio as Spade at si Jean Garcia as the witch Esmeralda continues to look for me.”
