JOHN LAPUS was meant to be launched by Regal but Viva has gone ahead and is now launching him to stardom in “Moron 5 and the Crying Lady” where he’s supported by no less than five leading men. “Challenging ang role ko as I don’t play a gay character but a real woman named Becky Pamintuan,” he says. “Everytime I’d meet the five morons played by Luis Manzano, Marvin Agustin, Billy Crawford, Martin Escudero and DJ Durano, may nangyayaring kamalasan sa buhay ko at naiiyak ako so I became a crying lady. Ang peg ko in being a woman ay sina Ruffa Gutierrez, Ara Mina, Ehra Madrigal, Francine Prieto and Aiko Melendez.
He says he has a love scene with one of the five boys but he won’t reveal who the guy is.
Who turns him on the most? He can surely give me and our children a good future. Donya na lang ako sa bahay habang he’s the good provider.”
Sweet himself is co-producing the movie with Viva after Star Cinema backed out in bankrolling it. They asked Ai Ai de las Alas to help out in their finances and he’s thankful that they agreed. We’re sure he’s now praying fervently that the movie will make money and perhaps even top Vice Ganda’s past films to show that Vice is not the only gay actor warmly accepted by the moviegoing public.
