Marvin Agustin One Of The Richest Actors In Local Showbiz Today

MARVIN AGUSTIN is one actor his colleagues should emulate. He was able to invest his showbiz earnings wisely in business and now owns a total of 22 restos in various parts of the country, including Cebu and Davao. But he has not turned his back on showbiz and continues to be active as an actor.

“Siempre, ibang fulfilment naman ang nakukuha ko from acting kaysa sa business,” he says. “And so far, nagagawa ko namang pagsabayin ang mga ito so I’m really happy I can do both fields effectively.”

He must be one of the richest actors now. Why is he still so driven to work so hard? “Siempre, kailangang kumayod for my family. Also, I have twin sons who are now both in school. Ang mahal-mahal kaya ng tuition fees nila. Akala nyo lang, mayamang-mayaman ako, pero ang pera ko, nasa investments ko lang lahat at pinagugulong ko so I can give more jobs to other people. Alam nyo naman, nagsimula ako sa wala. Breadwinner ako ng family ko when I started working as a waiter then napasok nga ako sa showbiz at sinuwerte.”

After doing heavy dramatic roles last year in films like “Ikaw ang Pag-ibig” and “The Road”, he’s glad he’s doing comedy this time in “Moron 5 & the Crying Lady”. “I enjoyed my work here with Luis Manzano, Billy Crawford, Martin Escudero, John Lapus and DJ Durano. Ang saya namin lagi sa set with out director, Wenn Deramas. I’m sure the viewers will have a good laugh sa dami ng nakatutuwang eksena namin ng pagpapatawa rito.”
