WINWYN MARQUEZ is a tall, stunning dusky beauty who’d be perfect beauty queen material. We can’t help but admire her as she stood on stage during the presscon of “Hiram na Puso” where she plays Bela Padilla’s best friend. Will she join Miss Philippines World that’s now with GMA-7? “Dream ko talaga to join a beauty pageant but siguro, not this year kasi I want to train muna,” she says. “I don’t feel I’m well prepared at this point.”

At 19, she has finished business management at San Beda. “Pero batang isip pa po ako, so I want to mature a bit more and gain more experiences kung ano ang mga nangyayari sa paligid before I join Miss Philippines. I want to train on how to walk and pose properly, like my Tita Melanie Marquez na international beauty titlist. ”

How come she agreed to play a small supporting role in “Hiram na Puso”, that starts airing today after “Eat Bulaga”, when she played a major role as villain to Kylie Padilla in “Blusang Itim”? “Okay lang naman yun. I want to do all kinds of roles. The important thing is may trabaho ako and I welcome working with sina Bela, Kris Bernal, Mark Herras and Polo Ravales in this show. On Sundays naman, I get to do one thing I love to do most, dancing, in ‘Party Pilipinas’.”
