WHOEVER DID the makeover in Kuya’s House to change it from PBB Unlimited to PBB Teen Edition 4 should be commended for doing it well even if it’s a rushed job as there’s only one week rest between the two seasons. Kuya’s house now has a retro motif since they welcomed the new housemates with a 70s-80s theme.
We’ve already told you about the seven male housemates, all lookers. The female housemates were led by twins Jai and Joj Agpangan, 16, from Bacolod, who entered PBB on April 8 with the male housemates and are counted as just one, not separately. The rest of the girls joined them on April 9: Myrtle Sarrosa, 17, from Iloilo; Mariz Raneses, 16, from Cebu; Nika Javier, 15, from Lian, Batangas; Claudet Loreto, 13, from Davao City; Karen Reyes, 15, from Calapan, Oriental Mindoro; and Claire Bercero, 15, Filipina-French from Makati. So all in all, there are 7 boys and 8 girls.
When the boys entered Kuya’s house, they were made to wear goggles so they can’t see. The girls were assigned to teach them to dance to the music of their theme song, “Kabataang Pinoy”. The four boys who danced best were allowed to remove their goggles first: Alec, Roy, Tom and Vincent.
For this week’s Big Deal task, the housemates were divided into two groups and given P10,000 each by the Banker from “Deal or No Deal” to put up their own business that should earn P5,000 by week’s end. Kuya gives them a special mentor, Luis Manzano, actor-host-businessman who’s celebrating his birthday on April 21 with a special edition of “Deal or No Deal” with his own mom no less, Gov. Vilma Santos, as his special guest contestant.
With Luis’ help, the “negosyanteens” will conceptualize, produce and sell a profitable product that will be sold to the public this week. Fans of the teen housemates can have a peek into their minds as they tweet about their experiences and thoughts using the hashtag #PBBTweets. Subscribe to their tweets straight from the famous PBB house on the program’s official account, @OfficialPBB4. Supporters of the budding love teams Myrtle-Ryan and Karen-Kit, and housemates who utter quotable quotes such as Alec, Yves, Claire, and Clodet are also causing a stir on the micro-blogging site.
