Dennis Trillo Busy With 'Biritera' But Finds To Shoot A New Movie For Cinemalaya Filmfest

DENNIS TRILLO is so busy taping “Biritera” almost every day but he still finds time to shoot a new Cinemalaya entry, “Ang Katiwala”, where he plays the title role of the caretaker of an old house that turns out to be haunted. This is in the New Breed category, written and directed by Aloy Adlawan and co-starring Ronnie Lazaro and Althea Vega.

“I’m happy that ‘Biritera’ is a toprater on primetime,” says Dennis. “Pero siempre, iba pa rin ang satisfaction na bigay ng paggawa ng pelikula.”

Dennis’s role as Andrei in “Biritera” becomes more demanding as some people will do everything to end his relationship with Glaiza de Castro as Mikmik. They’re about to get married as Mik is already pregnant, but Ryan Eigenmann as his manager Mr. D and Gwen Zamora as Iris want to break them up and send a voice tape to Glaiza saying “pinikot lang niya si Andrei”.

This makes Mik run away on their wedding day. She gets into an accident that causes her to lose her baby. Her love for Andrei has turned to hate. As for Roseanne, the “biritera”, she was taken from the evil Rich Asuncion as Jo and given to the Department of Social Welfare. Angelika de la Cruz as Remy wants to get custody of her but Jo will make it appear that another man named Paco is the real dad of Roseanne who has the right to claim her.
