So how was Cairo? “Masaya. First time ko in Egypt and I was able to visit the famous three pyramids at Giza. I stayed there for ten days and we were watching film entries from all over the world from 9 AM to 9 PM everyday. Kaya lang mainit sa kanila, at mabuhangin, very sandy”
His co-jurors are directors and critics from Egypt and other countries like South Africa, Germany, The Netherlands, etc. The three best films they chose are: Gold Prize - – Sweden’s “A Thousand Times Stronger” about emancipation of women and teenagers who are bullied in school. Silver – “The Strongest Man in Holland” about a boy searching for his dad and finds out he’s a test tube baby. Bronze – “I Am Kalam” about the friendship of a prince and a poor boy who are both striving to get a good education.
