AN INDIE FILM written and directed by Ron Morales, “Graceland: A Life for Every Lie”, has been invited to the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City put up by Robert de Niro, with a screening on April 20 and two other dates. This drama-thriller stars Arnold Reyes in the lead role, supported by Menggie Cobarrubias, Marife Necesito, Dido de la Paza, Leon Miguel, Angeli Bayani, Patricia Gayod and Ella Guevarra.
Arnold, a talent of Backroom Inc. who won as Cinemalaya best supporting actor for “Astig”, plays family man Marlon Villar, the long-time driver of a corrupt politician (Menggie). One day, while driving his boss’ two pre-teen daughters home from school, the three of them are ambushed in a case of violent kidnapping. Something horribly wrong happens in the kidnapping and Marlon’s life suddenly takes a violent turn where everyone becomes a suspect in a web of lies and deception.
