“Enjoy ako but I really have to thank my mom (Jaclyn Jose) for helping me take care of her, lalo na noong beybing-baby pa siya na mapupuyat ka talaga,” she says. “I’m happy, no regrets, lalo ngayong ABS-CBN is giving me a second chance. Ayoko ng magkaroon ng sama ng loob or anything negative.”
She has lost the weight she gained when she was preggy. “That took a lot of self-discipline. I was motivated by my goal na maipakita ko sa mga tao na I deserve na makabalik ako sa career ko. I assure them and ABS na hindi sila magsisisi sa pagbibigay sa’kin ng second chance.”
So what has she got to offer this time? “I’m 21 now. I’d like to think mas mature na ako. Mas focused na ako sa craft ko as an actress. Tama na muna yung lovelife.”
What would she say if Ellie would inquire about her dad someday? “Naisip ko na yan so my goal now is to make her feel that her life is complete kahit walang daddy. But if the time comes she’d look for him, okay lang sa’king magkita sila. It’s her right as his daughter.”
So she has forgiven him? “How can I forgive someone who’s not asking for it naman? But okay na yun. I’ve moved on and I’m thankful ABS is giving me a good comeback vehicle. That’s the more important thing.”
