POLYEAST RECORDS is glad all their local talents are currently making waves. Zia Quizon’s self-titled debut album is doing well in the charts. Her second single, “Dear Lonely”, has been released on radio in January 2012 and is now gaining momentum while the music video directed was launched on MYX. Zia was nominated at MYX Music Awards as Favorite Female Artist, Favorite New Artist and Favorite Song for “Ako Na Lang Sana”.
Bamboo Manalac’s solo album, “No Water No Moon”, which contains 12 tracks featuring the first single “Questions” and the second one, “Spin”, both alternative pop masterpieces. Bamboo is now part of ABS-CBN’s top-rating musical variety show, ASAP 2012.
Slapshock, the country’s most successful rap-metal band, recently released their 15th anniversary album, “Kinse Kalibre” with “Ngayon Na” as its first single. Polyeast has also released a 15-year-boxset with memorabilia of the band’s journey from their debut and beyond. At the MYX Music Awards, Slapshock is nominated for Favorite Group and Favorite Rock Video for “Ngayon Na.”
The country’s R&B princess Kyla just released the new single, “Dagli Na Lang”, of her album “Private Affair”, by Kiko Salazar. Kiko also wrote the the album’s first single “Mahal Kita, Di Mo Pansin”. Kyla was also a featured artist in Indonesian R&B artist JoeniarArief's new album MelayangTinggi that became a big hit on radio stations all over Indonesia.
Karylle has released her new single “Basically” from her album “Roadtrip”, a collection of personal and memorable songs that showcase her talent. MYMP’s Chin Alcantara (guitarist and founder) is also back with a new album “The Unreleased Acoustic Collection that features the band’s new vocalist, Juliet Bahala. Introducing the album’s latest single “Power of Two”, MYMP once again stirred interest on radio with the Indigo Girls remake.
Also doing well are new releases like Martin Nievera’s “Mga Awit ng Damdamin” and “Himig ng Damdamin”, compilations of well loved Tagalog love songs, and his son Robin Nievera’s new album “Over Wait”, with the single “In 3’s” now heating up the airwaves.
