Rich Asuncion Initially Rejected As Villain In 'Biritera'

RICH ASUNCION is one of the most hated contravidas today on local TV in her role as the cruel Jo who manipulates and exploits child star Roseanne Magan in “Biritera”. She’s really effective in tormenting the little girl with the help of her partner, Yul Servo. They even poisoned the mind of Roseanne for the child to hate her former benefactor, Angelika de la Cruz.

“But do you know that when I was casting her, maraming ayaw kay Rich?” reveals the show’s director, Maryo de los Reyes. “Dapat kasi, ang gaganap as Jo, si Angelika de la Cruz na sanay na magkontrabida. But napunta kay Angelika yung role ng Remy, ang nanay-nanayan ni Roseanna na nagpalaki sa kanya. We scouted for a new villain at si Rich nga ang pinili ko. I’m glad tama naman ang naging decision ko and she delivers sa acting niya.”
