GRACE LEE is hosting a new cooking show, “Cooking with the Stars”, a co-production of GMA-7 with San Miguel Pure Foods Company, with top celebrities as her special guests. At its presscon held at the San Miguel office in Ortigas center, she was asked what can she say that Pres. Noynoy announced that they are friends.
“I’m good and happy,” she says. “He’s very much a gentleman and has always been very sensitive about my feelings. I appreciate his efforts to protect me and to step out of his comfort zone to talk about his private life, but let’s just focus on ‘Cooking with the Stars’. This is my second time to host a cooking show on GMA after ‘Eateria’ in 2009.”
Grace has finished a culinary arts course with Chef Rob Pengson. Her guests in her show include Heart Evangelista, Carla Abellana, Jolina Magdangal, Camille Prats, Angelika Dela Cruz, Christine Jacob, Suzi Entrata-Abrera, and Candy Pangilinan who’ll all be cooking on cam with the help of celebrity chefs Maricel Manalo, Martin del Prado and Rene Cruz. There’s also a ‘Cooking Star of the Barangay’ portion with them visiting various barangays complete with a brass band dancing food servers. Who’d be her dream celebrity guest?
“Sen. Miriam Santiago. I want to calm her down with good food, like Korean chapchae and bulgogi.”
If she’s a kind of food, what would she be? “Spaghetti, since you can do so much about it.” How about Pres. Noynoy? “Cheese fondue, simple but deep, interesting.”
Cooking with the Stars air every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9:55 am to 10:05 am on GMA-7with replays on GMA News TV every Tuesday and Thursday, 7:00-7:10 pm, and Saturday, 6:45 pm to 6:55.
