Jen: “When did you first notice me?” Luis: “Noong may show sa Legaspi. I hosted it at kumanta ka. Sabi ko, iba si Jennylyn Mercado. Iba siyang tumingin sa akin. Simula noon, nagka-crush na ako sa iyo.”
Jen: “Kapapangangak ko lang noon. Hindi ako perpekto.” Luis: “Wala namang perpekto. We have a long way to go and we’re still getting to know each other, but hopefully we get to meet halfway.”
Jen: “You told me I’m a blessing. Why?” Luis: “Because when you came into my life, dumami ang mga proyektong ginagawa ko. Dahil sa’yo, nakakatulog ako at gumigising nang nakangiti.”
Jen: “Ikaw rin, araw-araw ako nagiging masaya at pinapatawa mo ako. I can see na mahal na mahal mo ako kaya blessing ka rin sa akin.”
Jen asked when did he tell his mom, Gov. Vilma Santos, about them.
Luis said it’s when she interviewed Ate Vi in Batangas. “After you left, my mom said, ‘Anak, happy ka, no?’ I said yes and she said, ‘Nakikita ko, e.’” Jen asked how he accepted her being a single mom? “Walang dapat i-accept. Nagkataon lang na may blessing ka na sa buhay mo nang dumating ako at may isa pang taong kailangang mahalin sa iyo.”
Jen: “Ano ang ang maipapangako mo sa akin?” Luis: “Mag-aaway tayo. Wala namang relasyon na hindi nag-aaway, pero gagawin natin ang lahat para maayos yun.”
Later on, other “Showbiz Central” hosts Pia Guanio, Raymond Gutierrez and John Lapus joined them and Luis thanked them and GMA-7 for giving him a very warm welcome, even inviting a group of press people to cover his first appearance on a GMA show. When asked if they talk about their past relationships, Luis said there’s no need to. “Whatever we share now is a fresh start for our own relationship.”
He admits he saw Patrick Garcia, father of Jen’s son, at ABS but there’s no tension between them as they’ve worked before in “Kumpanerang Kuba”. But he hasn’t seen Mark Herras and Dennis Trillo yet as they belong to different networks. As for Jen, she has seen Nancy Castiliogne while she’s having a dinner date with Luis at Podium and they said ‘hi hello’. As for Angel Locsin, they used to have the same manager but they haven’t seen each other since Angel left GMA-7.
