ANJED’s FULL name is Marjed (from her mom Marjorie and dad Edward) Millana, the eldest of five kids. “Yung video ko po singing ‘Listen’ by Beyonce and ‘I Am Telling You’ was uploaded by my aunt sa youtube,” she says. “Napanood ni Direk Joven then hinanap niya ko sa Facebook and he offered to produce an album for me, ‘Fly High’. Most of the songs in the album were composed by him. He also directed the music video of my first single, ‘Ewan Ko’. Yung song namang ‘Kulang ang Pasasalamat’, ginamit niyang theme song for his movie, ‘Ang Maestra’. There are 8 Tagalog songs in the album and one English, ‘I Love You Again’. The other songs are ‘Kailan Ba’, ‘Damdamin’, ‘Sabi Mo’, ‘Pangarap’ and ‘Pangako’.”
Anjed has no formal training in music but she sings like an expert belter. “I joined amateur contests in Butuan and Cagayan de Oro at nananalo naman po ako. Dream ko talagang makilala as a singer, like my idols Sarah Geronimo, Charice and Jessica Sanchez.”
