Kapuso Stars Mobbed By Huge Crowds In Tacloban Fiests

KAPUSO STARS were the special guests in the Tacloban city fiesta celebrations. Raymond Gutierrez hosted the Miss Tacloban coronation night. Also present was Dennis Trillo. At the parade, the stars of the new afternoon soap, “Faithfully”, were at the GMA float: Maxene Magalona, Mike Tan, Isabelle Daza, Marc Abaya, Vaness del Moral, Will Devaughn, Victor Aliwalas and Kevin Santos. Absent were Michelle Madrigal who’s in Boracay and Isabel Oli who’s in mourning.

Their float didn’t make it until the end of the parade as all the floats were moving very slowly due to thousands of people that were already in the middle of the street. They had to be whisked away to perform on a special stage constructed on the Robinson parking lot.

It’s obvious that Tacloban is Kapuso country. Even Gogoy Avelino told us he’s surprised that his nephew Paulo is not known there. “Tinatanong ko ang ‘Walang Hanggan’, hindi nila alam,” he says. “Mas kilala nila talaga ang GMA-7 shows.”
