LOYAL FANS OF the GMA soap “Luna Blanca” are happy that the plan to have Jillian Ward and Mona Louise Rey play the title roles of Luna and Blanca for only one month didn’t push through. It’ll be recalled that this was reported after Jillian said she couldn’t stand anymore the black make up applied on her as the black Luna character as it’s making her itchy. But it looks like her skin has now adjusted to it and she no longer complains.
Her fans are actually requesting GMA not to make the kiddie characters grow up right away to prolong the presence of Jillian and Mona in the show. As teenagers, they’ll be played by Bea Binene as Luna and Barbie Forteza as Blanca. We’re told this will happen at the end of July yet, which means Bea and Barbie will be coming in August yet. Bianca King and Heart Evangelista as the grown up Luna and Bianca will then come in even much later.
Meantime, Jilllian is so happy as her dream to buy a van that will serve as her home away from home during tapings has come true. With the help of GMA, her parents got her a Mark III van. So now, she can’t just resign from “Luna Blanca” as she has to have a weekly talent fee to pay from the amortization of her new vehicle. She’s now also a part of Sen. Bong Revilla’s “Kap’s Amazing Stories” on Sunday. “I play Marikit, ang ibong madaldal,” she says.
