Maxene Magalona Happy Being Loveless After Split Up With Poker Player Boyfriend

MAXENE MAGALONA is in another afternoon soap, “Faithfully”, just like her previous soaps “Kung Aagawin Mong Lahat sa Akin”, “My Lover, My Wife” and “Pahiram ng Isang Ina”. Doesn’t she wish to have a show on primetime? “Meron din naman, like ‘Sana Ngayong Pasko’ and ‘Captain Barbell’, pero suporta lang ako,” she says. “Ang mahalaga naman, I’m working again. My last one, ‘Pahiram ng Isang Ina’, was last year pa. Ang tagal na.”

Five beautiful ladies topbill “Faithfully”. Aside from her, also in the cast are Michelle Madrigal, Isabel Oli, Isabelle Daza and Vaness del Moral. A story of love, deceit and revenge, “Faithfully” starts on Monday and will be replacing “Broken Vow” in GMA-7’s afternoon prime that ends this afternoon. The leading men are Mike Tan, Marc Abaya, Will Devaughn and Victor Aliwalas.

“I play Stella,” says Maxene, “a poor girl working sa flower shop ng friend kong si Michelle. Friend din namin si Isabelle Daza who’s an event organizer. Si Vaness del Moral, girlfriend ni Marc Abaya, pero mapapalapit sa’kin kasi nalamang kinakaliwa niya. He wants to marry me but ayaw sa’kin ng mother niya, Chanda Romero, kasi rich sila at poor ako. Pero magkakaroon ng twist in my story dahil magmamana pala ko ng malaking kayamanan. The story gets even more complicated and intriguing pagpasok ng iba pang characters. Sure akong tututukan ito ng mga tao every afternoon.”

About her lovelife, Maxene says she's been she broke up with poker player Neil Arce five months ago. "Okay na ito. Mas matahimik ang buhay ko," she adds.
