“Buti nga, showing na ang ‘Boy Pick Up’ and I want to thank all the viewers who made it a success at the box office,” he says. “At least, isang movie na lang ang sinu-shoot ko ngayon, ‘I Do Bidubidoo’. After that, may offer akong another movie pero di ko na tinanggap as I want to give more time naman to my family. Six months na ang baby naming si Nate at nakikipag-relate na sa amin so gusto ko naman siyang makasama ng mas matagal. Hopefully, by September, tapos na itong ‘Daddy Dearest’ dahil we’ll meet nina Regine at Nate ang daughters ko from Australia, Sarah and Leila, sa Singapore for a vacation there. But I’m so thankful to my wife kasi siya talaga ang nagpupuno ng oras ko sa anak namin when I’m out working. She’s so supportive kaya I can really say she’s a perfect wife and mother.”
Regine can devote all her time now to Nate as she’s not working, but what if she’d make a comeback and also gets busy? “Pag-uusapan namin yang mabuti. As of now, pumayat na siya ng kaunti, about 20 lbs. Gusto niya, mas pumayat pa siya, e hindi naman puedeng biglain yan, dapat dahan-dahan, so she’s taking her time.”
How’s it playing the role of a man who becomes a woman in “Daddy Dearest”? “It’s not a joke. Matagal kasi akong ayusan kapag naging babae na ako. Matagal magbihis, mag-make up at ayusan ng buhok. And I have to be reminded all the time na girl ako para consistent ang performance ko.”
