GMA PR SPECIALIST Marian Domingo tells us the rumor that “Showbiz Central” has been axed and will have its last telecast this coming Sunday is not true. It will still be aired until July 29. Another rumor is that it will be replaced by a horror comedy show. Also not true. Someone asked if the show isn’t rating any more so it needs to be replaced. A GMA exec says it’s still doing well, but just like “S Files” which it replaced while still a toprater, “Showbiz Central” has already celebrated its 5th year and they want it to quit while it’s on top, to be replaced with a new improved and braver show that will help retain the loyal viewers on the Sunday 4 PM timeslot.
