“After bigyan ako ng title role sa ‘Alakdana’ last year, nag-support ako sa ‘My Beloved’ on primetime and now, solo na ng love team namin ni Alden Richards itong ‘One True Love’ kaya naiiyak ako sa tuwa,” she says.
Does she feel any pressure about it? “Siempre naman. Pareho kami ni Alden, kinakabahan, kaya panay ang dasal namin na sana suportahan ng viewers para mag-rate. Kasi if it wouldn’t rate, di sasabihin ng mga tao, hilaw pa kami, di pa namin kaya magsolo.”
But she’s confident viewers will like it as GMA-7 left no stone unturned to make it great viewing. “Sa suporta pa lang as our parents, wala kaming mairereklamo kina Jean Garcia, Agot Isidro and Raymond Bagatsing. Nakaka-inspire silang katrabaho sa galing nila. Our director, Andoy Ranay, nakaalalay sa’min sa workshops pa lang, to make sure we give our best in each scene we do. I’m so glad magkasundo rin kami ng husto ni Alden kasi, from our gesture and facial expressions alone, alam na namin what to do sa isang eksena. Solid na yung foundation ng love team namin.”
What about her rumored BF Enzo Padilla? “He understand naman na ang ganitong opportunity, bihira lang dumating, kaya very supportive siya and I know hindi niya ko hahadlangan.”
Despite her hectic sked, she’s determined to finish her foreign service course at Lyceum. “I’m on my last year. Nakakahinayang naman kundi ko itutuloy. Konting tiis na lang, matatapos na ko and I really want sana na magtuloy sa law proper after this.”
