Bb Gandanghari Confesses He Fought His Gay Feelings For The Longest Time

IT’S NOT SURPRISING that writers flocked to interview BB Gandanghari at the “Enchanted Garden” since this is his first presscon after Rustom Padilla died a not so natural death. “Huwag kayo mag-alala,” she says. “Rustom will be resurrected here in ‘Enchanted Garden’ as I play dual roles. Isang babae as the geisha Michiko who owns the spa where there’s a secret portal leading to the fantasy world from the mortal world, and also as her twin brother na lalabas later.”

Does she plan to get married? “Siempre naman. If I’d marry someone rich, I’m okay to be a stay at home wife kasi ang tagal ko na rin namang nagtatrabaho. I can be a normal homebody, misis na nagluluto for her husband at mga anak. We can adopt naman.”

What kind of wedding would she want? “Sana, beach wedding. Dream ko to walk to the altar in my wedding gown.” Would she invite ex-wife Carmina Villaroel? “Why not? Nag-volunteer pa nga siyang maghatid sa’kin sa altar,” she laughs.

He admits he fought his gay feelings for the longest time. “Nilabanan ko talaga. I questioned myself why I feel this way. After Carmina, I even tried having a girlfriend na Amerikana but nothing happened. It was in 2004 na I came out of the closet in the U.S. Wala na akong dapat ikahiya.”

She looks better now than when he came out of the closet in “PBB Celebrity Edition” where he looked so thin and haggard. She’s now blooming and prettier. She admits BB Gandanghari is not yet her legal name but she’s working on it so that she can use even in her passport. In the U.S., she worked as an androgynous model. “I’m supposed to go to Europe dahil mas malakas daw ang androgynous models doon. But this offer from TV5 came so dito na muna ko. I’m glad to be back home.”
