Dominic Roco On The Rift Between Him And His Womanizing Dad Bembol Roco

WE WERE surprised by the statement of Dominic Roco at the presscon of “Ang Nawawala” that he and his daddy Bembol haven’t talked to each other for two years after their father left their family for another woman. How can that be when, last year, they even played father and son in the GMA-7 afternoon soap, “Sisid”?

They had many scenes together. We even asked both him and Bembol how they are and they said they’re okay. Well, we hope the father and son will still reconcile. As of now, Dom welcomes working with his twin brother Felix in “Ang Nawawala”. They also play the twin sons of Dawn Zulueta and Boboy Garovillo in the film, but Felix dies and, as a result, Dawn suffers a breakdown and Dom retreats into his own world and becomes a “selective mute”, which means he has chosen not to speak again.

“It’s a good role, my most challenging so far,” he says. “I’d like to thank Ms. Dawn and our director, Marie Jamora, dahil tinulungan nila ko in interpreting my role. Without them, I wouldn’t be as effective in my non-speaking role.”
