THE FANS of top child stars Jillian Ward and Mona Louise Rey are disappointed that GMA-7 didn’t grant their request to extend the appearance of the two tots in “Luna Blanca”. This will be their final week and by Friday, the characters they play will grow up to be teenagers played by Bea Binene and Barbie Forteza.
We ask Jillian if she thinks she’d grow up to look like Bea, who’d play her as a teener. “Siguro po,” she says. “Pareho naman kaming beauty, di ba?”
How about Mona? Would she like to be like Barbie? “Gusto ko po siya. Sana nga, maging gaya niya ko paglaki ko.”
They say they’ll miss each other as their last taping day together for “Luna Blanca” is today.
How does it feel taping at the smelly Payatas dumpsite?
Even if they’re busy taping, they don’t neglect their studies. If she wouldn’t be an actress as a grownup, what would she like to be? Jillian really has a kind heart. “Yung mga streetchildren, binibigyan ko pong pagkain. Naaawa kasi ko sa kanila. Wala silang bahay, wala pang food.”
Mona doesn’t have an assignment after “Luna Blanca” but Jillian is doing two new movies: “Enteng, Agimat and Me” for the Metro filmfest and “Ride to Love”, a star-studded movie for Regal.
