JM DE GUZMAN was not persuaded by his director Lem Lorca to strip down to his briefs in the title role of “Intoy Syokoy sa Kalye Marino”. “Sa script, talagang naka-briefs lang si Intoy when he dives para magtanim ng tahong,” he says. “But ayoko talaga. Hindi nila ko napilit, nag-shorts lang ako. But everything else na pinagawa nila sa’kin, I did it. Like swimming dun sa tubig na may dumi ng tao. Hindi ako umangal dun kahit nandidiri ko kasi kailangan talaga sa story, yun ang character ni Intoy, e.”
LJ Reyes says he’s such a gentleman in their kissing scene. He’s even the one who covered her naked body with a towel after the take. “I swear wala akong nakita. I respected her talaga.”
The film is actually a love story between Intoy and the girl he loves who happens to be a “pokpok” or prostie. Would he fall for a “pokpok” in real life? “I don’t know. I’ve never met one and I don’t want to judge them.”
Aside from this, JM also stars with Andie Eigenmann in Regal’s horror flick “Pridyider”.
