THE KAPUSO network is happy that their Team GMA made up of Kris Bernal, Alden Richards, Bela Padilla and Sarah Lahbati, who appear on Mega Magazine’s July 2012 issue, emerged victorious in the online poll created by the magazine that pitted their version of the cover with that of ABS-CBN stars. The official tally from MegaStyle.ph showed that the team GMA cover garnered 405,007 or at least 31,000 votes ahead of ABS generated during the two-week voting period. It was a tight match but the Kapuso fans showed no signs of slowing down as they poured in their support for their idols that proved to be worth it in the end. Along with the online votes came an overwhelming stream of positive comments for Kris, Alden, Bela and Sarah, who all look every inch a star on their winning version of the cover. The so-called “network wars” continue with the upcoming release of the sales result of the two covers, where in GMA is currently taking the lead based on the latest updates from Mega. Billed as the Network’s “next big primetime leading man,” Alden is currently seen on GMA’s high-rating telebabad program One True Love as the love-struck Tisoy opposite Louise delos Reyes. Sarah, Starstuck V’s Ultimate Female Survivor in 2010, shines bright as one of Richard Gutierrez’s love interest in the primetime show Makapiling Kang Muli. Kris, another Starstruck winner, has appeared in many hit soaps, the last being Hiram na Puso. Bela also just finished working on the soap Hiram na Puso. GMA Artist Center organized a special meet and greet with their fans several weeks ago in Party Pilipinas that helped in the success of the Team GMA cover.
