LIKE WHAT WE predicted, it’s the Cosplayer from Iloilo Myrtle Sarrosa who won in the PBB Teens 4 Big Night held at the Malolos Convention Center last Saturday night. We never doubted that she’d win as she has a good machinery working to promote her, even in Facebook where she already has about 5,000 subscribers now.
Each time she’s nominated for eviction, her PR machinery works double time and she’s the only PBB housemate who has her own press releases asking the public to text their votes and save her. Whatever they spent to make her win is obviously worth it as she won P1 million cash, an appliance and gadget showcase complete with laptop, TV set, digital camera, etc., an Asian tour package and many more.
Myrtle got a total of 33.92% of the votes. While 2nd placer Karen Reyes of Mindoro got only 11.91%, 3rd placer Roy Requejo of Bicol got 9.38% and 4th placer Joj and Jai Agpangan of Bacolod got 9.26%. They all stayed in Kuya’s house for 91 days or three months.
The question now is: will they make it big in showbiz like previous winners Kim Chiu (and partner Gerald Anderson) of the 1st batch and Ejay Falcon of the 2nd batch? We’re afraid they’d follow more in the footsteps of the third batch winners led by James Reid whose career has not taken off at all. In that batch, it’s the Korean clown Ryan Bang who became the most visible. The same will go for the 4th batch. As we all know, it’s their evicted housemate Keith Thompson who’s now acting in a regular primetime soap, “Kahit Puso’y Masugatan”.
Let’s face it, in the 4th batch winners, only Karen shows some promise. She’s not really “pambida” but will be a good contravida like Katrina Halili or Iwa Moto of Starstruck. All the rest lack that incandescent something called star quality. And we’re being kind at that. It’s so much better if they’d just go back to school and finish college.
