“ABS-CBN was giving me good breaks then, with me introduced in Jericho Rosales’ ‘Panday’,” she says. “But I decided to go back to school and now, I’m graduating from my communications course at the University of Baguio, where I’m based. Thesis na lang ang kulang.”
She’s now managed by Manny Valera. “I saw him sa FB and said hello. Nagulat ako ng sumagot siya, and now, he’s managing me.”
Is it true she snatched Chito Miranda of Parokya ni Edgar from Kaye Abad? “It’s true kami na, but two years na silang wala ni Kaye when we became friends. Nakipagkilala siya sa’kin sa Twitter. One year muna bago ko siya pinansin. Naging officially on kami noong December lang.”
What does she like in him? “Mabait siya.” That’s the usual way Chito is described: “mabait”. “O, sige. For me, ang guwapo-guwapo niya. But he’s really mabait. Sobrang maalaga.”
Her comeback project is the Cinemalaya movie “Ang Katiwala”, written and directed by Aloy Adlawan. She plays the girl who’s the object of affection Dennis Trillo’s lesbian cousin, Angelina Kanapi. “Pero walang lesbian love scenes. I made sure of that. Hindi ko kaya.”
She’s now also part of “Hiyas” on ABS-CBN. “There are new offers but pinag-aaralan pa namin which one to accept.”
