Chynna Ortaleza Plays Villain To Andrea Torres And Camille Prats

CHYNNA ORTALEZA will be seen in two GMA-7 soaps starting next week. On primetime, she’s already seen in “Luna Blanca” as Divine, the scheming first wife of Raymart Santiago who oppresses his first wife, Camille Prats. By Monday, she’ll also be in the afternoon soap, “Sana ay Ikaw Na Nga”, reprising the role of Olga first played by Maricar de Mesa in the original. “First time nangyari sa’kin ito at nagpapasalamat ako sa GMA, kahit puyat at pagod ako in reporting to two tapings,” she says.

As Olga, she’s so in love with Mikael Daez, who’s in turn in love with Andrea Torres. She plans the death of Andrea in an accident then she asks a plastic surgeon to copy the face of Andrea so that Mikael will fall in love with her.

“I play villain roles in both soaps, so iniba ko ang atake sa dalawang roles ko. Mas physical ako kay Camille in ‘Luna Blanca’ at sinagasaan ko pa siya kaya siya nalumpo. Dito sa ‘Sana ay Ikaw’, mas pailalim ang pang-aapi ko kay Andrea. In one scene, to prepare her, bago pa mag-take, minura-mura ko na siya to motivate her. Kaya pagharap sa camera, ready to emote na siya. It worked naman as Direk Dick Lindayag told us pareho kaming mahusay sa eksena at take one lang kami. But in the movie I just did with Direk Joel Lamangan filmed in Israel, nakabawi ako kasi mabait naman ang role ko as a nurse who helps Jodi Sta. Maria after ma-rape siya ng Jordanian employer niya.”

What happened to her BF Railey Valeroso who dropped out of showbiz? “He has finished his studies and now has a business of his own. Nine years na kami, but no wedding plans yet.”

In Book 3 of “Luna Blanca”, when Heart Evangelista and Bianca King take over, Chynna will be played by Carmi Martin while Raymart and Lani will be played by Christopher de Leon and Lani Mercado.
